Norfork Lake, Mountain Home – August 2, 2009

Hershel Conley reports 64 for morning worship, 30 for evening worship, 16 first time visitors and offerings of $735.

Last week a young lady asked Jesus into her heart. The Lord is truly blessing us with showers of blessings and we have closed our umbrellas.

Many new first time visitors were present last Sunday as a result of outreach. Bro. Paul White came and preached for us. He inspired us to go and tell others and watch our mission grow. He has helped us so much. Highland Hills is our mother church and Bro. Paul led them to help us establish a mission here in Mountain Home. In his message he encouraged us to do the same. I know the Lord will bless his new church at Prospect, Jonesboro, by using him in a great way. We had a lunch in his honor and gave him a certificate of appreciation with all our names signed on the back.

          “We led a lady to the Lord this week. She seemed so relieved to know where she will spend eternity. She came for baptism Sunday and is excited about being part of our mission.

          “Our outreach with the water bottles is working. This week we found a group of men laying sod. They were very appreciative of the water. One of them followed me back to the car, gave me a $100 bill and said he would like to help in this work. Praise the Lord for He is worthy! We are looking for people who have no hope, the lost!
