Thank you for your interest in supporting state missions of the BMA of Arkansas. Your financial support enables us to plant churches throughout our state. While you are encouraged to give through your local church, for your convenience, we provide several different ways for you to contribute. Please keep in mind that we have two separate accounts, the general fund (used to pay salaries and other office expenses) and the revolving loan fund (which is loaned to mission projects for various needs). Church Budget

Most churches send regular offerings to various departments of the BMA. A simple check with your church treasurer will determine if state missions is one of those departments your church is supporting. If not, we would encourage you to ask them to consider placing state missions in their budget to afford you the opportunity to support the state’s missionary program.

By Check

Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas
P.O. Box 195514
Little Rock, AR 72219-5514

Drafts

We accept check draft for your convenience. Users of check drafting are responsible for setting up and controlling their check drafting options. You can designate where your offerings go (general fund, revolving load fund, etc.) and the frequency in which you give. Giving by draft is secure and tax deductible. Using this option allows you to set up your giving using an automatic bank draft from your account. For more information on how to set up your account and begin giving by check draft, please contact the office. Credit Cards are not permitted.

Stock

How can I make a stock contribution? If you wish to gift stock to the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas simply contact our office and our secretary will be happy to assist you. By gifting stock the association receives the full market value of the said stock and when sold receives the full selling price less broker’s fees. In order for us to give you proper credit for your contribution, please be sure to notify us of the number of shares and the name of the stock(s) that you would like to transfer. Our fax number is 501-565-6397 and any emails may be sent to arstatmis@comcast.net

Planned Giving

As members and friends of state missions, many of the blessings we enjoy today are the products of dedication on the part of those before us who were not content with the status quo. Instead, they were committed to leaving to future generations a rich inheritance on which to build.

We, too, have an opportunity to leave a legacy to our missions department through our Estate Planning. Estate planning is sometimes referred to as “planned giving” or “deferred giving”. The objectives of estate planning are to:

  • Conserve assets for yourself and for those you love
  • Bypass capital gains taxes
  • Reduce federal estate taxes
  • Increase current income

Outright Gift

A gift which benefits the donor with income tax savings for the current year such as cash, real estate, stock or life insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is my donation tax deductible? Yes.

2. How can I be sure my money is reaching my desired location? Under the dictates of the BMA of Arkansas and good bookkeeping practices we are required to have a thorough audit of both the general fund and the revolving loan fund annually. These audits are printed in the association’s minute book and become public information.

3. What happens to my donation if I simply give it wihout a preference toward the accounts? Funds received that are not marked will be placed in the general fund.

4. Is it better for me to designate my offerings to one or more particular projects? First, we understand any person, church or association can support any project of their choice. When considering placement of your support keep in mind the office’s liability many times does not diminish even though certain projects may be receiving designated offerings.

5. Do I receive a record of my contributions from the mission’s office? Yes, your account will be documented and mailed on or by February 15 of the next year.
