Meet Our Administrative Personnel
Bro. I.V. Hight, Missions Director
Bro. I. V. Hight was born in Houston, Texas where he accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of nine years old. He surrendered to preach in 1962 and accepted his first church, Beacon Baptist Church in Houston, in July 1963.
He has pastored five churches in Texas and one in Arkansas. His last pastorate was the Unity Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas where he served for 19 years and 3 months. During his tenure at Unity the church completed 3 building programs and grew in attendance from 135 to over 350.
For the last eight years he has served as Executive Director of Missions for the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas. During this time nine mission congregations have been organized into New Testament churches and eleven new mission works have been started. Bro. Hight has also led in beginning a ministry outreach to the Hispanic population.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Bro. Hight has also preached over 360 revivals during his career. He has visited mission fields in Mexico, Guatemala and Ghana. He has served as Moderator and Vice Moderator of the BMA of Arkansas. He has preached the annual sermon for The BMA of Texas, BMA of Arkansas and the BMA of America yearly meetings. He has served on the Board of Trustees for Central Baptist College in Conway, AR and the BMA Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, TX and served on numerous committees.
Bro. Hight is a graduate of Jacksonville Baptist College, Jacksonville, TX, Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, TX and has a Masters Degree in Religious Education from Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, TX.
He and his wife, Renna, have four children and ten grandchildren. They have a son and son-in-law who are both BMA pastors in Arkansas.
Bro. Hight is a Bible preacher, who preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ geared for today’s living.
Eddie and Carol Sikes, Building Superintendent
Eddie Sikes has been the Building Superintendent for BMA of Arkansas since 1979. Bro. Eddie is not a church planting missionary but a building superintendent who has dedicated his life to helping mission congregations build church facilities.
Eddie was born September 23, 1945. His wife, Carol, celebrates her birthday on February 6.
Eddie and Carol live in Traskwood, near Haskell, where he is helping in the construction of the building for Celebration Baptist Mission.
